1. Clean unit after use by pumping clean water through unit until clean water is seen on the discharge side. A thorough, periodic cleaning and inspection is recommended after several uses.
2. The check valves can be disassembled for inspection and cleaning if necessary.
3. Hoses can be removed for cleaning if necessary.
4. Remove pump body cap for thorough cleaning.
5. Lubricate O-rings with silicone grease every 6 months or as needed. a. Remove the threaded cap and washer from the pump body. b. Clean the washer, O-rings, rubber washer, and pump interior. c. Lubricate with silicone grease d. Check the condition of the O-rings. If they are visually worn or leaking, replace them with the supplied spares or standard (AS568A 334 black Buna-N) O-rings.
6. Trouble Shooting a. The pump is not pulling a vacuum i. Check hose connection ii. Check the connections on the suction side of the pump. If the connections are leaking, use RectorSeal thread sealant or PTFE tape in the connections. iii. Check for blockage of the hose or check valves iv. Check the O-rings, if worn or in need of lubrication follow procedures described in item 4. v. Check rubber washers on piston. Tighten plastic lock nut (14) or use silicone grease to seal.
b. The pump will not pressurize i. Follow procedures described in section 6a.
